Discovery Horse Groups

At Discovery Horse, we believe in the transformative power of group experiences. Our groups provide opportunities for connection and understanding, as well as foster healthy relationships in a safe, supportive environment. We offer public groups in the form of retreats, professional development groups, and specialized groups for our ongoing clients. This creates nurturing communities where individuals can share experiences, learn from each other, and build lasting, meaningful connections. Our groups support collective healing, allowing participants to support each other through challenges, celebrate successes, and engage in deep relational work that promotes personal growth and emotional well-being.

Monthly Reflective Consultation Group

More dates coming soon!

Hello! I’m Sara Sherman - your group consultant. I want to personally invite you to our Monthly Reflective Consultation Group. If you're feeling overwhelmed and burnt out from your demanding career in mental health, education or medical practice, this group is for you. This isn't about being the perfect professional—it's about being a human who works in service to others. Let's celebrate being human together, with all the messiness that comes with it.

Come as you are: wear your jammies, eat your lunch, pet your cat! This is a ‘come as you are’ community, and I can’t wait to connect with you

  • Schedule: Third Friday of each month, 12pm to 1:30pm, via Zoom

  • Format: Bring a lunch, cameras on, confidential

  • Registration: Required, can register up to 24 hours ahead of the start time

  • Cost: $50 per session

  • Participants: Maximum of 8

  • Focus: This is not therapy. Rather than discussing people or cases, we focus on our experiences and responses to our work and the people we serve.

  • Virtual Meetings
Join us from the comfort of your home for 90 minutes each month.

    Supportive Environment
Sara creates a safe, connected space where you can express and work through your emotions, challenges, and successes.

    Confidential Setting
A confidential virtual setting where everyone keeps their cameras on to promote felt safety.

    Basic Outline
We’ll start with checking in, followed by some education, and then move into focused individual consultation for those who have something to discuss.

    Professional Growth
Enhance your internal resources, deepen collaborative relationships, and improve outcomes for those you serve.

  • Reflective Consultation is all about community. Together, we create a supportive network where we can pause, reflect, and grow. Sharing our experiences and insights helps us build stronger, more resilient relationships that nurture both our personal and professional development.

  • Reflective Consultation, facilitated from a neurorelational framework, focuses on how the brain and body work together to create our reality. It’s about understanding how our relationships (both with ourselves and others) impact brain and body functioning. We can’t just talk our way into better functioning or out of old, unhelpful patterns. Real change requires practice in both mind and body. In our group, we practice new ways of being that can revolutionize your work and personal life.

    - Individuals in the mental health, education or medical community providing service to others.

    - Professionals seeking a supportive community to enhance personal and professional growth.

    - Anyone who appreciates authenticity and wants to join a ‘come as you are’ community.

This experience is designed to help women like you and me find deeper, more meaningful connections in our lives. • Facilitated by: Sara Sherman and the Discovery Horse Herd
In the supportive environment of our indoor arena, the horses and I will invite you to experience a new level of connection and self-awareness.

    When You Arrive
We will meet in the covered arena and gather in a circle. We’ll start with check-ins, and introductions, and then dive right in.

    Retreat Dynamics
The mini-retreat will involve one-on-one coaching, group coaching, and opportunities to connect deeper with yourself and the other women in the group. You can expect the horses to be present—the extent of your or the group's interaction with them will unfold as the retreat progresses.

    Challenge by Choice
Our horses will be on the opposite side of the fence for the entire experience. You’ll only interact closely with them if you choose. This can be incredibly powerful, especially if you have fears around horses, as it provides a chance to delve deeper into relationships that carry fear.

    Learn and Practice
Engage in practices that help you learn the art of being consistent in all relationships, mirroring the complexities of our day-to-day interactions.

For those who have attended previous Women’s Connection Groups - we hope to see you back! You can expect the same level of experience with new and exciting aspects!

  • At Discovery Horse, we believe in the power of genuine connections. Our approach is based on the science of connected relationships, highlighting the importance of authenticity and consistency. Unlike traditional settings where reflection is through mirroring, our horses are active participants in this journey. They don’t reflect; they engage, providing a profound opportunity to examine our own patterns of relating.

  • This Mini-Retreat Is For:

    - Women seeking deeper connections in their lives and a stronger connection to themselves.

    - Women interested in learning more about their nervous system and window of stress tolerance and how they impact our day-to-day experiences and relationships.

    - Those looking for a supportive community to nurture and grow in.

    - Individuals interested in exploring how their relationships and internal world impact their professional and personal lives.

    - Women who want to engage in reflective practices and learn consistency in their relationships.

    - Women who love horses, could care less about horses, or even fear horses.

    This Mini-Retreat Is Not For:

    - Individuals seeking traditional therapy. This group is not therapy.

    - Those who prefer not to engage in self-reflection and personal growth activities.

    - People uncomfortable with group settings or sharing personal experiences.

    - People looking to pet, ride, or groom horses. Riding will not take place. The rest will be determined by the horses themselves and the group.

    - Those looking for a casual social gathering without a structured focus on connection and self-awareness.

  • Let me tell you a bit about myself. I’m Sara Sherman, a NeuroRelational Coach™ and co-founder of Discovery Horse. I’m a Natural Lifemanship Practitioner and Trainer and a “Registered Being With Course Facilitator.” My expertise in relational neurobiology, equine experiential learning, and trauma-informed coaching has paved the way for me to help others in this transformative journey.

I can’t wait to connect with you and help you discover the profound impact of authentic relationships and a connected community.

  • Dandelion Farm is more than just a place—it’s a sanctuary. From the moment you turn off the highway, you’ll feel the nurturing and supportive atmosphere designed specifically for you. As women, we often work hard in the world, leaving our nervous systems taxed and our stress tolerance low. This mini-retreat offers a chance to rest, connect, and fill your cup, allowing you to be seen, valued, and heard.

  • When you join the Women’s Connection Mini-Retreat, you become part of more than just a place—you become part of a community.
