Ever since I gave the TEDx talk I have been involved in a lot of conversations around vulnerability. What is it, how do you define it. I have gotten a whole spectrum of definitions:
- It’s how a mouse feels in front of a cat
- It’s weakness
- It’s being afraid
I have loved all these conversations and here is what I have come to for a definition:
Vulnerability is letting down our armor. Finding out what makes us weak in the knees
and doing it anyway. Vulnerability is looking inside and speaking our truth.
Vulnerability is taking a risk. Vulnerability is letting people in, knowing we might
be judged or disliked, and doing it anyway because we are being true to ourselves.
